DANKO JONES is the lead singer and guitarist of the hard rock trio of the same name, formed 1996.

He was born and raised in Scarborough on a diet of metal and punk rock, and his band gained a reputation across Canada quickly for in-your-face, sexually charged live shows and Danko's big loud mouth. They've released several EPs and albums worldwide and been nominated for 4 Juno Awards.

In Europe they play the biggest festivals (and Danko has twice been called on stage to sing with Motorhead). Danko also hosts a syndicated radio show called "The Magical World of Rock" and writes columns for four European rock music magazines.

He released a spoken word album in 2004 and is one of Canada's most articulate, outrageous rockers.
