LIONESS AT THE MASONIC TEMPLE

Director: Peter Lynch, 2009
The building at 888 Yonge Street has magical power - so think the occult enthusiasts in rock trio Lioness. Members Jeff Scheven, Vanessa Fischer and Ronnie Morris have all played this Masonic temple turned concert venue over the years and felt its otherworldly vibes but have yet to figure out its secrets. Now, in a mystical covert op of ritual and archival investigation we join the band as they search for the ghosts of Toronto music past. From Led Zeppelin and Frank Zappa's legendary gigs at the Rockpile to alt.rock royalty at the Concert Hall and its current incarnation as the studio for MTV Canada, this building's haunted history reveals itself in strange ways. What lingers there?
