ADRIFT CLUBHOUSE was a short-lived but deeply loved secret venue hidden in a back alley that served as a guerrilla indoor skate park and punk rock community centre.

With its origins in the back of a skate shop in Kensington Market, it migrated to the Bathurst and Queen area in the winter of 2008, where it turned a barebones space into a DIY skate park and venue. A spot for those in-the-know to indulge their passions for both year-round skateboarding and live music without club bouncer B.S., it hosted semi-secret "house shows" by bands such as No Age, Fucked Up, and Brutal Knights.

Unfortunately, it only lasted a season before the lease expired and the heavily-grafittied doors shut for good. But for offering a safe and inexpensive place to put on all-ages gigs, it has earned its spot in Toronto punk music history.
